On April 5, 2024, I, Sarai Hannah Ajai, hereinafter referred to as "the Complainant," received a phone call around 10:19 am, purportedly from Comcast/Xfinity, stating that a 50% discount had been applied to my monthly bill. To maintain the account's activation, I was instructed to call the telephone number 866.441.6396 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. I want to emphasize that I have never been a customer of Comcast/Xfinity for either home internet or cable television services. My internet services have always been provided by Midcontinent Communications, known as Midco, since June 2022.
Unbeknownst to me at the time of subscribing to Midco, Comcast/Xfinity had a 49% stake in Midco. I am deeply troubled by the potential unauthorized use of my Personal Identifiable Information (PII) by Comcast/Xfinity to create an account under their entity. It appears that someone, acting either individually or collectively, has created Comcast/Xfinity accounts using fictitious or identical names, and in some cases, even changed their legal names to match mine without my consent. This constitutes a serious invasion of my privacy rights, as my PII has been exposed to Comcast/Xfinity employees without due process of law.
I urgently request your thorough investigation into this matter and the immediate closure of any Comcast/Xfinity accounts associated with my name and PII to prevent further legal consequences.
