Midco Account Take Over

LEGAL STATEMENT


On April 13, 2025, at approximately 6:35 a.m., I, Sarai Hannah Ajai (“the Complainant”), attempted to change the login password for my Midcontinent Communications (“Midco”) Home Internet Service online account. This action became necessary after I was locked out of my Midco online account due to an unauthorized intrusion. (See Exhibit A and B) An unknown individual had unlawfully gained access to my iPhone 11either through my Verizon phone service provider or the Apple ecosystem connected to my iPhone 11and those unknown individuals used remote access capabilities to take control of both my iPhone 11’s Verizon and Midco online accounts.

I have strong reasons to suspect that this incident was part of a targeted identity theft scheme. The unauthorized party not only accessed my Midco account but also obtained confidential billing information tied to my residential address, which could be used for fraudulent impersonations for proof of other services. I want to make it clear that I am the sole authorized user of my Midco Home Internet online account and have never shared my login credentials with anyone.

The last time, I updated my Midco account password was on March 6, 2025, at approximately 11:51 a.m. (See Exhibit C) Since then, I believe that those unauthorized individuals possibly tenants gained illicit access to my personal NetGear modem and ASUS RT-AX1800 Wi-Fi router, either through the Ethernet connection or by exploiting my router's settings from my iPhone 11. Because my router is linked to my iPhone 11, which is integrated with my Verizon account and Apple ecosystem, these individuals may have been able to remotely obtain my Wi-Fi credentials.

I am currently experiencing continuous and unlawful harassment by individuals and tenants who have gained unauthorized access to my personal devices and accounts. These individuals have persistently interfered with my digital privacy, including unauthorized surveillance of my iPhone 11, unauthorized access to my Midco online account, and possible tampering with my home internet equipment. Their actions have caused ongoing emotional distress and have disrupted my daily life. I believe these intrusions are deliberate, targeted, and part of a broader campaign of causing me identity thefts problems and intimidations. Despite having taken multiple steps to secure my personal information, these individuals have continued their illegal activities, creating a hostile and unsafe environment for me. This pattern of harassment not only violates my rights to privacy and security but may also constitute criminal behavior under applicable cybercrime and harassment laws.

This breach, potentially facilitated under false pretenses or without proper legal authority or warrants, constitutes a violation of my Fourth Amendment rights protecting against unlawful search and seizure. As a result, I have been subjected to significant distress and ongoing issues related to identity theft.
