Sarai Hannah Ajai's Initial First Incident Regarding the Cass County Sheriff's Tom Hall and the Female Tenants Next Door Apartment Unit, 206
Legal Complaint Note
Incident Date: September 19, 2023
Incident Documented on April 27, 2025
Complainant: Sarai Hannah Ajai
On September 19, 2023, I, Sarai Hannah Ajai (“the Complainant”), discovered a business card from the Cass County Sheriff's Office stuck between the mailboxes of apartment units 205. The card was left by a deputy named Tom Hall. At the time, I was retrieving my mail from my designated mailbox for apartment unit 205. The reverse side of the card included a handwritten note that read: “Heaven Clay, Please call me re: A Civil Matter.”
Concerned and confused, I immediately called the number listed on the card using my iPhone 11 and was connected to Tom Hall through the Cass County Sheriff’s Office operator. During our conversation, I explained that the individual named Heaven Clay does not reside in my apartment (unit 205) and suggested that the card may have been intended for the tenants who had recently moved into apartment unit 206.
During the call, Deputy Tom Hall raised his voice at me and accused me of being dishonest, stating: “ONE OF YOU ARE LYING, HEAVEN CLAY EITHER LIVES IN APARTMENT UNIT 205 OR 206.” I responded firmly that Heaven Clay does not live in my apartment unit, 205, and then I ended the call due to the aggressive tone.
I remain deeply concerned about the implications of this interaction. The deputy’s assertion appeared to falsely associate me with an individual I do not know and implied that I may be intentionally misleading law enforcement. Since I do not know the legal names of the tenants who lives in apartment unit 206, and given the accusatory nature of the conversation, I now have growing concerns about my safety and well-being in my home.
