Sarai Hannah Ajai BOfA Identity Theft and Fraudulent Account Notification Complaint

Legal Complaint – Tenant Concerns

Incident Date: May 15, 2025 at approximately 2:49PM

Complainant: Sarai Hannah Ajai

Subject: Identity Theft and Fraudulent Account Notification

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to formally report an instance of identity theft involving an unauthorized Bank of America (BOfA) account that appears to have been opened using my personal information without my knowledge or consent.

On May 15, 2025, I received a suspicious text message from the number +1 (601) 720-3175 claiming to be from “BOfA.” The message stated that my account had been placed on hold due to unauthorized activity and provided a suspicious URL link: https://sec60g-11jjw.info/PT/. A copy of the text message is attached for your review.

I want to make it unequivocally clear:

I have never opened or authorized the opening of any account with Bank of America. The use of my personal information, including my cellular number, appears to have been exploited by identity thieves to fraudulently establish a banking relationship with your institution using my legal personal information.

This constitutes a serious violation of my privacy and a misuse of my Personally Identifiable Information (PII). I request the following immediate actions:

1. A full investigation into the account allegedly opened using my identity.

2. Immediate closure of any such account(s) found to be fraudulently created.

3. A written confirmation that I am not liable for any activities or obligations associated with the account(s).

4. Removal of any related inquiries from my credit report.

5. Assistance in documenting this incident for law enforcement and identity theft protection services.

This incident has caused me considerable concern and mental distress, especially considering the increasing prevalence of sophisticated phishing and identity theft schemes. I trust that Bank of America takes such matters seriously and will act promptly to ensure no further harm comes to me as a result of this breach.

Sincerely,

Sarai Hannah Ajai
