Sarai Hannah Ajai |Invasive Lives: The Silent Struggle Within My Walls
Legal Complaint – Tenant Concerns
Incident Date: May 9, 2025 (Approx. 3:41 PM – 9:03 PM)
Complainant: Sarai Hannah Ajai
On May 9, 2025, I, Sarai Hannah Ajai (“Complainant”), experienced multiple disturbing incidents that have raised serious concerns about my personal safety, digital privacy, and overall well-being as a resident of this apartment complex. I am submitting this formal complaint regarding the following events:
1. Unauthorized Access to Personal Devices and Accounts:
At approximately 11:03 AM, my Apple iPhone 11, associated with my Verizon wireless account, was unlawfully accessed by individuals I believe to be other tenants. During this intrusion, my TikTok account associated with my phone number was accessed and the password was reset without my consent. Approximately 150 followers were removed from my “Higher Inspirations” account. I suspect that inappropriate and possibly pornographic content was uploaded and then deleted from the account to damage my reputation and prevent further growth of my platform.
2. Harassing Comments from Neighboring Tenants:
At approximately 3:41 PM, while working on a video project titled “Crowned with Mercy” via my Canva.com account, I overheard a female tenant (believed to reside in Unit 107) exit the foyer and loudly shout in reference to my work, “YOU ALL LIKE THAT RAT MUSIC.” This comment was made loudly enough to be heard through my open bedroom window and was clearly directed at me in a harassing manner.
3. Interference with Digital Work:
At approximately 6:16 PM, I noticed unauthorized changes being made in real time to my Canva.com video editing project. These alterations included erroneous modifications to textboxes that I did not make. I believe these edits were the result of deliberate hacking activities carried out by other tenants to interfere with my work.
4. Alarming Public Statement Regarding My Personal Computer:
Around 6:30 PM, a male voice from the common area outside my unit (Unit 205) loudly shouted, “YOUR APPLE MAC MINI IS A GOVERNMENT COMPUTER AND IT IS NOT YOUR PERSONAL COMPUTER.” This baseless accusation was clearly meant to intimidate and falsely undermine my rights to use my personal property.
5. Hate Speech and Targeted Harassment:
At approximately 9:03 PM, a male tenant living in the Main Street building located at 2420 20th Ave (third floor, unit adjacent to mine) made disturbing and discriminatory remarks from his patio. The individual, whom I recognize as Muslim, stated loudly enough for me to hear: “We do not want her to live here and she should live amongst her people after what we have done to her identity and other people’s identifications. We do not want to live amongst poor Black people. We do not want to face her anger because of what we have done to her life for no reason.”
These incidents collectively point to a disturbing pattern of targeted harassment, racial discrimination, cyber intrusion, and potential hate crimes occurring within this housing complex. I am requesting that immediate action be taken to investigate these incidents, ensure my safety, and hold any responsible parties accountable.
Psychological Perspective on Parasitic Dynamics in a Shared Living Environment
The incidents that occurred on May 9, 2025, represent not only a breach of privacy and personal security but also reflect a disturbing psychological dynamic, I can best describe as a “parasitic relationship.” This term, while traditionally used in biology, is applied here in a psychological and symbolic sense to describe how certain tenants in my residential complex have engaged in exploitative and invasive behaviors that has severely impacted my health, autonomy, and safety.
As a tenant who maintains a private lifestyle and has not engaged socially with other tenants, I find myself involuntarily involved in a one-sided relationship in which one or more unknown individuals derive benefits, housing, employments, and vehicles from the unauthorized use of my personal identity, including my State-Issued Real ID Driver License and associated identifying information and property. In this metaphorical “host-parasite” dynamic, my identity and digital presence have allegedly been exploited for actions such as signature forgery and unauthorized access behavior from tenants that may fall under constitutional and legal violations such as the "Takings Clause" and unauthorized public use of private information.
This dynamic not only violates my rights but imposes severe psychological stress and potential trauma to my daily life. The ongoing, unreciprocated extraction of value from my personal data without my knowledge or consent has left me in a constant state of hypervigilance, fear, and alienation in my own apartment home. The actions of these tenants and individuals are not merely inconsiderate or inappropriate they demonstrate patterns of psychological abuse, identity erosion, and systemic harassments continuously that may escalate to life-threatening outcomes due to their invasive and unrelenting nature.
The purpose of this psychological analysis is to provide a clear and structured framework for understanding the motivations and mental states (or mens rea) of those who may be involved in these actions. This framework evaluates the possibility that the tenants’ behaviors fall into the following legal-intent categories: purposeful, knowing, reckless, or negligent. These categories reflect varying levels of awareness and culpability behind the psychological and criminal harassments, I have experienced.
Each involved tenants, to the best of my psychological understanding and documentation, will be assessed through the lens of their apparent intent and the tangible harm caused to me through written factual records. This analysis is not only for my personal healing but also for establishing accountability and protecting others from similar psychological exploitation and environmental trauma in shared rental agencies housing settings.
