Complainant: Sarai Hannah Ajai
Subject: Unauthorized Text Messages from Affirm.com Using Quantaudio Studio Google Phone Number
Date of Incident: September 3, 2025
Time of Incident: Approximately 5:45 PM and 5:50 PM
Incident Summary
On September 3, 2025, at approximately 5:45 PM and again at 5:50 PM, I, Sarai Hannah Ajai, received two unsolicited text messages from Affirm.com, a financial technology company offering “buy now, pay later” loan services. These messages were sent to my Google Phone Number (352-354-2229), which is publicly associated with my YouTube channel, Quantaudio Studio.
I have never created an account with Affirm.com, nor have I used its services for any online purchases. I do not, under any circumstances, use my Google Phone Number for financial transactions. This number is strictly a forwarding/masked line designed to protect my personal cellular phone number (Apple iPhone 11).
The receipt of these messages strongly indicates identity theft and attempted online fraud, wherein unknown individuals are unlawfully associating my Google Phone Number with a fraudulent Affirm.com account. This constitutes a serious intrusion into my personal privacy and creates a heightened risk to the security of both my social media presence and financial well-being.
Evidence
• Exhibit A: Screenshot of unsolicited text message from short code 58083 at 5:45 PM, containing an Affirm.com verification code.
• Exhibit B: Screenshot of unsolicited text message from short code 24255 at 5:50 PM, containing an Affirm.com verification code.
These messages were received through Google Voice and automatically forwarded as email notifications to my Quantaudio Studio email account. They demonstrate unauthorized use of my phone number in an attempted account creation or fraudulent activity with Affirm.com.
Statement of Concern
The misuse of my Google Phone Number (352-354-2229) to commit online fraud raises grave concerns regarding:
1. Identity Theft: Fraudulent creation of financial accounts without my knowledge or authorization.
2. Privacy Violations: Unlawful attempts to exploit my Google Phone Number linked to Quantaudio Studio, potentially compromising my digital and professional identity.
3. Economic Risk: Unauthorized activity that could damage my reputation, financial stability, and online content security.
I respectfully request your agencies investigate this matter, as it represents a clear case of attempted digital fraud and identity misuse.
Signed:
Sarai Hannah Ajai
