 Incident Report

Subject: Suspected Unauthorized Remote Manipulation of Apple iPhone 17 While Retrieving USPS Mail at Residential Mailbox **5

Reporting Party: Sarai Hannah Ajai
Date of Incident: March 11, 2026
Approximate Time: 12:34 PM local time
Location: Residential mailbox area, mailbox number **5

I. Executive Summary

On March 11, 2026, at approximately 12:34 PM, I went to my residential mailbox, number **5, to retrieve mail associated with prior USPS Informed Delivery notifications and expected delivery records. While standing at the mailbox and after unlocking my Apple iPhone 17, which is associated with Verizon wireless service, I observed the device screen moving upward and downward without my finger touching the screen. This occurred while I was physically present at the mailbox location and in the process of checking for scheduled mail delivery.

I perceived this behavior as unauthorized remote control or remote interference with my device session. Based on the nature of the movement, I believed the conduct was consistent with unauthorized remote access, screen manipulation, mirroring, cloning, or similar interference affecting the live operation of my iPhone. I did not intentionally initiate any gesture, scrolling function, or application action that would have caused the on-screen movement I observed.

This incident occurred in the context of ongoing concerns involving device integrity, personal account access, and mail-related irregularities. Photographs taken at the mailbox location show mailbox **5 and the interior of mailbox **5 containing an AARP Foundation envelope at the time of retrieval. The USPS Informed Delivery records previously received by email show a Daily Digest for March 7, 2026 at 7:10 AM stating that one mailpiece was expected, and a separate delivery notification sent at 4:17 PM stating that mail had been delivered that day. The Daily Digest also states that mail may arrive several days after notification and may take up to a week for delivery.

II. Incident Details

At approximately 12:34 PM on March 11, 2026, I approached my residential mailbox, **5, for the purpose of retrieving mail I believed was associated with USPS Informed Delivery notices previously transmitted to my Gmail account. The supporting USPS Daily Digest email reflects that on Saturday, March 7, 2026, I was notified that one mailpiece was “arriving soon,” and that the digest was sent at 7:10 AM.

While positioned in front of mailbox **5, I unlocked my Apple iPhone 17. The device is tied to my Verizon service account. After unlocking the phone, I observed the screen moving vertically—upward and downward—without my finger making contact with the device. I did not authorize, initiate, or physically perform the scrolling or movement shown on the display. Based on my direct observation, the device appeared to be responding as though another party or process was controlling or influencing the screen activity in real time.

This occurred simultaneously with my attempt to retrieve mail. The attached mailbox photographs document the physical setting: one image shows the exterior mailbox panel identifying apartment/mailbox **5, and another shows mailbox **5 open with an AARP Foundation envelope inside. Those photographs are consistent with a live mail retrieval event occurring at the mailbox location.

III. Mail and Delivery Context

The USPS records you provided establish relevant timing context for the mail-related component of this incident:

The USPS Informed Delivery Daily Digest for Saturday, March 7, 2026 states that one mailpiece was expected and includes an image of mail associated with AARP Foundation. The same digest also states that some mail may not be shown, and that mail may arrive several days after the notice, with users advised to allow up to a week before reporting missing mail.

A separate USPS “Mail Was Delivered” email for Saturday, March 7, 2026 was sent at 4:17 PM and states: “Your mail has been delivered today, March 07,” while also cautioning that these notifications are not assurances that a specific mailpiece has been delivered.

Accordingly, the documents support that USPS issued mail-related notices connected to March 7, 2026, and your March 11, 2026 retrieval falls within the stated USPS window that mail may arrive several days later.

IV. Observations and Evidentiary Significance

The core event reported here is not simply unusual phone behavior in isolation, but the timing and setting of that behavior: it allegedly occurred while I was physically present at mailbox **5 and actively using my Apple iPhone 17 during mail retrieval. That timing matters because it raises concern that my device activity, physical movements, account access, or both may have been monitored or interfered with during a sensitive moment involving personal correspondence.

I cannot technically prove from observation alone whether the on-screen movement was caused by malicious remote access, device mirroring, compromise of the Apple device ecosystem, compromise of the wireless account, unauthorized accessibility control, malicious software, session hijacking, or another mechanism. However, I can state clearly that the screen movement occurred without intentional finger input from me and appeared inconsistent with ordinary manual use.

For recordkeeping purposes, the safest and most accurate characterization is that I observed suspected unauthorized remote manipulation of my iPhone screen while retrieving mail.

V. Devices / Services Involved

  • Apple iPhone 17
  • Verizon wireless service account
  • USPS Informed Delivery email notifications
  • Residential mailbox **5
  • Mailpiece observed: AARP Foundation envelope visible in mailbox **5

VI. Evidence Preserved

The following evidence is presently associated with this incident:

  1. Photograph of mailbox bank exterior showing mailbox **5.
  2. Photograph of mailbox **5 opened showing mail inside, including an AARP Foundation envelope.
  3. USPS Informed Delivery Daily Digest for Saturday, March 7, 2026, sent at 7:10 AM, reflecting one mailpiece and including an image of the mailpiece.
  4. USPS “Mail Was Delivered” notification for Saturday, March 7, 2026, sent at 4:17 PM.

VII. Formal Statement

I am documenting that on March 11, 2026, at approximately 12:34 PM, while retrieving mail from residential mailbox **5, I observed my unlocked Apple iPhone 17 screen moving up and down without physical touch input from me. I regarded this as suspected unauthorized interference with the live operation of my device. At the same time, I was present at mailbox **5 retrieving mail, and photographs taken at the scene show the mailbox exterior and the mailpiece present inside the opened box. USPS Informed Delivery records supplied in support of this report show prior notification of one incoming mailpiece and a separate mail-delivered notice associated with March 7, 2026, while also noting that mail may arrive several days after such notifications.
