Sarai Hannah Ajai Incident Report's Apple iPhone 17 Connectivity Failure and Suspected Account-Level Interference
INCIDENT REPORT
Apple iPhone 17 Connectivity Failure and Suspected Account-Level Interference
(Second Occurrence Associated With Verizon Service)
Reporting Party: Sarai Hannah Ajai
Device: Apple iPhone 17
Carrier: Verizon Wireless
Date of Incident: February 13, 2026
Approximate Time: 12:49 PM (local)
I. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT
On February 13, 2026, at approximately 12:49 PM, I experienced a sudden and unexplained connectivity failure involving my Apple iPhone 17. The incident included an inability to authenticate to my known Wi-Fi network, followed by an unexpected loss of normal cellular service status, as indicated by the device displaying “SOS” in the status bar.
This incident is of heightened concern because it represents the second occurrence of abnormal behavior involving my Apple iPhone 17 and Verizon service, and follows a prior incident after which I experienced repeated unlawful lockouts from my Experian credit bureau account on December 31, 2025 and January 31, 2026, requiring forced credential resets.
II. FACTUAL DESCRIPTION OF EVENTS
1. At approximately 12:49 PM, my Apple iPhone 17 was unable to connect to my Netgear Nighthawk Dual-Band WiFi 7 router, despite the use of the correct and unchanged Wi-Fi password.
2. As a direct result, I lost connectivity to multiple dependent devices and services within my residence, including:
o Ring surveillance system
o Amazon Echo Dot devices
o Amazon Echo Show 5
o Apple Home Pod
3. I made multiple attempts to reconnect the iPhone to the Wi-Fi network using the correct credentials. Each attempt failed without explanation or error correction guidance.
4. I then attempted to reconnect the iPhone directly to the router network again, with the same result: the password was rejected despite being correct.
5. After these failures, I powered the iPhone off and restarted the device.
6. Upon restart, the device displayed “SOS” in the top-right status indicator, signaling that normal cellular service was unavailable at that time after I entered my eSim PIN.
III. SECURITY AND ACCOUNT-LEVEL CONCERNS
The combination of the following factors raises serious concern:
• Sudden rejection of a known, correct Wi-Fi password
• Loss of connectivity across multiple trusted devices
• Transition of the iPhone to SOS / emergency-only cellular status
• Prior history of Verizon-associated account disruption
• Subsequent lockouts of my Experian credit bureau account following a prior iPhone / Verizon takeover incident
Based on these facts, I am concerned about the possibility of an unauthorized account-level interference, which may include (but is not limited to):
• Unauthorized SIM or eSIM provisioning changes
• Carrier-level account disruption or misrouting
• Device authentication token invalidation
• Credential or session compromise affecting identity-verification services
I am not asserting a technical conclusion, but documenting observable facts that reasonably warrant investigation.
IV. PRIOR RELATED INCIDENTS (REFERENCE)
Following a prior incident involving abnormal behavior of my Apple iPhone 17 associated with Verizon service, I experienced:
• Unlawful lockout from my Experian account and display the incorrect date of birth as January 1, 1964
• Forced credential resets on:
o December 31, 2025
o January 31, 2026
These lockouts occurred without my authorization and required repeated recovery actions, indicating potential downstream effects on identity-protected systems following mobile-account disruption.
V. ACTIONS TAKEN
• Documented the incident immediately
• Preserved device state and timestamps
• Avoided further credential changes pending review
• Prepared this report to establish an evidentiary record
VI. PURPOSE OF REPORT
This report is submitted to:
• Formally document a recurring device and carrier-related anomaly
• Preserve evidence of potential telecommunications or account-level interference
• Support review by Verizon, Apple, credit bureaus, or appropriate authorities
• Protect the reporting party’s identity, financial security, and access to protected accounts
I affirm that the statements above are true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sarai Hannah Ajai
